The ADC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Zakari Mohammed, has pledged to reduce Kwara's dependence on civil service employment by investing in agricultural processing, technical education and private-sector jobs.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the candidate, who comes from the farming area of Baruten in Kwara North, described agriculture as a sector that needs urgent government attention. He said education should equip young people with practical and technical skills that lead to work.
He added that government policy should ease the cost of living, support productive activity and make essential goods more affordable.
He urged voters to judge every candidate on their policy proposals ahead of the 2027 election.
