Who we are
This website, www.zakarimohammed.com, is published by the campaign organisation of Rt. Hon. Zakari Mohammed (Mai Jama'a), the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Governor of Kwara State in the 2027 election ("the campaign", "we", "us"). For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), the campaign is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
Terms of use
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Purpose of the site
The site provides information about the candidate, his record and his plans, campaign news and events, and a way to sign up for updates. It is political campaign material and does not constitute professional, legal or financial advice.
Content and copyright
Text, design and photographs on this site belong to the campaign unless stated otherwise. Where a story draws on reporting by a news outlet, the outlet is credited and linked. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with credit. Please do not reproduce whole pages or photographs for commercial use without permission.
Accuracy
We work to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that every detail is complete or current. If you spot an error, please tell us using the contact details below and we will correct it.

We link to news outlets, Facebook and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on that site.

What we collect
When you sign up for campaign updates we collect the details you enter: first name, last name, email address and local government area. The email address is required; the other fields are optional. We do not collect any other personal data through this website.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use these details only to send you news and updates from the campaign and, where you give your local government area, to tell you about activity near you. Because signing up to a political campaign can reveal your political opinions, which the NDPA treats as sensitive personal data, we process this data only with your explicit consent, given when you submit the form (NDPA sections 25 and 30). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who processes it
The sign-up form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-processing service that receives your submission and forwards it to the campaign by email. Web3Forms and our email provider may process the data on servers outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred outside Nigeria, we rely on your consent and on the provider's safeguards, as the NDPA permits (sections 41 to 43). We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the campaign.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and in any case for no longer than six months after the 2027 governorship election, after which they are deleted.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to sign-up data is limited to campaign staff who need it to send updates.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the record.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- be told how your personal data is used, which this notice does;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we process it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
