Rt. Hon. Zakari Mohammed has called for an open debate among the candidates for Governor of Kwara State, saying voters deserve to weigh each candidate's ideas and plans before the 2027 election.
In a radio interview in Ilorin, he said Kwara has yet to realise its potential in infrastructure, jobs, education and healthcare, and that the next administration must identify the state's biggest development gaps and deliver visible results.
He said he wants to do things differently by putting citizens' priorities at the centre of government.
On his independence, he told listeners he has no political godfather, crediting his faith and the people of Kwara State for his support.
