Rt. Hon. Zakari Mohammed has set out a security agenda that puts modern technology at its centre. If elected, his government would use drones for aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering, locating the hideouts of criminal groups and passing that information to security forces before operations begin.
He stressed that technology alone is not enough: conventional security agencies need proper equipment and logistics to act on that intelligence.
He also linked insecurity to hardship, pledging to reduce poverty, improve livelihoods, create jobs and widen economic opportunity across the state.
